A freshly installed operating system leaves us with a unique and pleasant feeling. Unfortunately, the system will slow down over time and crashes will become more frequent. If you don't want to reinstall Windows every few months, you should create backup points and restore them when you need to. With AX64 Time Machine, creating and restoring backup points does not take more than a few minutes. The procedure is straightforward and easy.

The program works on Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. It does not provide support for EFI/GPT, but it will in future versions. It takes a few minutes to complete the installation process, during which you have to install an additional driver. Once you install the software, you have to reboot your computer, after which you can start enjoying the software's capabilities.

The main interface is compact and it does not present too many options. After selecting a drive and a destination, you just need to click a button and the program will start backing up the targeted drive right away. You can store your backups anywhere you want, including external or network drives. It is also possible to create a recovery media on a USB stick, CD or on the hard drive, as an ISO file.

AX64 Time Machine comes with a backups browser, which you can bring up on a separate window. It displays your created backup points just like on a standard explorer window. If you wish to restore your system to a previous point in time, you can select a backup and hit the Restore button, on the browser's toolbar. Alternatively, you can explore a backup point's files and restore them separately.

Backup points can be created automatically as well. All you have to do is click a check box, on the main interface, and the program will create backup points every half hour.

Pros

You can create backup points with just a few clicks or you can let the program create them automatically. It is possible to restore entire backup points or just a few files.

Cons

You can't set up a different timetable for automatic backups. With AX64 Time Machine, you can make your operating system good as new, in just a few minutes.
